Robert Turner

Robert Turner a West Contra County Unified
School employee for the past 25+years has mentored, trained
for conflict mediators, and coordinating community
activities for thou sands of teen's youths and adults for
the County and City of Richmond.
Thousands of His students have graduated from
colleges, and are positive role models. All he asks of them
-"The way to pay me back is to help somebody, Pass it On" |

Sammie Lee Hill
Vice
President, Asst. Executive Director and Co-Founder
|
Sammie Lee Hill, is the Community Relations Worker at Richmond
High School and he mentor 50 students per year. He wrote the
first and only International Mentor Theme Song in world history.
His award-winning song has received national and international
recognition. In fact, the song is part of the 2007
National and Global Youth Service Day, which will reach
31 million youths and adults in 115 countries. Also, his song is
the title song for a worldwide documentary called
"Touched By A
Mentor."
The song is also the title song for a motion
picture called "The
Mentor"
as well. Sammie is giving -back to the community and helping his
students on a positive note. His personal web site is located

Special Recognition: Sammie co-wrote two
additional international songs with his Los Angeles Music
Composer, Dean Andre. The songs are called "You'll
Always Be My Woman" and "We Can Change The
World." The songs are available on the major OnLine
Music Stores: iTunes, Amazon MP3, eMusic, Rhapsody,
Napster & Groupie Tunes. The album is called
"PASSION" by Dean Andre. |

Danny Harris
Director of
Mentor Services

Danny Harris is a City of Richmond Native.
He attended schools within the West Contra Costa County.
Danny attained his Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from St. Mary’s
College of California. As a young man, Danny spent much of
his time focusing on school, his studies,
and other civic related programs as a means to engage in
positive aspects of life. Danny has donated countless hours of
volunteer service to the City of Richmond and its resident, due
to his civic engagement. Danny is currently in the process of
completing his Master’s degree course work in Organizational
Leadership at St. Mary’s College of California. Danny is
currently working as a member of the Richmond Police Department
and he enjoys spending time enhancing young members of the
community by involving them in civic engagement, group
mentorship involving Richmond youth, working with Law
Enforcement Explorers, Street Soldiers, Youth Police Academy,
Richmond High School Law & Justice Academy and other positive
youth development initiatives. Danny enjoys fishing, camping,
traveling and reading books, which engage him in leadership
development. Danny is presently a member of the NAACP National
Organization, the National Black Law Enforcement Executives, the
Guardians of Justice, Black Police Officers Association and
other professional organizations.

Charles
Johnson
Director of
Administrative Services

Charles Edward
Johnson -Charles is a husband and proud father of three
children. He attended various
city colleges and trade
schools
majoring in the
construction related field. He is a successful business owner
and a certified Project
Manager and Estimator. He also works for the West Contra Costa
Unified School District and has been for the past fourteen years. For the
past six years he has been working in the schools campus
safety department as Student Supervisor. He is the
Paraprofessional President and a member of
the Board of Directors for
Public Employees Union, local one. He is on the school districts
Budget Advisory Committee and the Contract Negotiation
team. He has taken lead rolls in various youth programs at
Richmond High School such as
Student Mediators, Ambassadors and the Street Soldiers
program. Charles has been working with different youth programs
and church groups counseling
and mentoring kids for many years and is looking forward to the
life altering changes, which is what the 21st Century
Mentor Foundation will mean to our youth today. |
